Now considered the standard of care in dentistry dental implants are extremely effective and predictable options for replacing missing teeth. Implants are surgically placed into the jaw bone and integrate with the bone therefore maintaining the bone quality and quantity. A crown is then screwed onto the implant restoring function with the ability to achieve unsurpassed esthetics.

Because the implant integrates with the bone the chewing force is equal to that of a natural tooth. By distributing the biting forces evenly on all teeth implants help to maintain the integrity of the mouth throughout life.
In the images on the right this patient fell and broke his front tooth. Because of the spaces between his teeth an implant was his best option. Note how healthy the gums look and how the final crown matches his natural teeth better than the old Porcelain Fused to Metal (PFM) crown on his other front tooth.

Key Attributes:
  • Preserves your healthy teeth—no grinding required on adjacent teeth
  • Bone integrity is preserved for long-lasting esthetics
  • Long-term solution – often for life
Considerations:
  • Slightly higher cost than a bridge
  • Longer treatment time
